Providers at Pediatrics for You are well trained and have combined general pediatrics experience of 40+ years and have received training and certification through the Washington State Autism Center of Excellence (COE).
Our Process for Autism Diagnosis:
We follow a comprehensive process for autism diagnosis. On your child’s first appointment, we try to understand your concerns and perform autism screenings to validate your concerns. Subsequent appointment will involve clinical intake to understand your child better, DSM interview for autism, psychological testing and an interactive and observational appointment using a standardized tool. We conclude the diagnosis in the last visit and go over the next steps. We also offer genetic testing for kids who are diagnosed with autism. We may request information from child’s teacher, day care provider or therapist. These appointments will last 40-60 minutes. We are constantly adding new diagnostic tools for autism diagnosis.
Our Access: We offer easy access to autism screening and diagnosis. We accept referrals from other healthcare professionals, schools, daycares, therapists and other community provider. You can self refer yourself if you have developmental concerns for your child.
WE CAN ALSO OFFER VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS FOR AUTISM DIAGNOSIS OR A COMBINATION OF VIRTUAL AND TRADITIONAL IN-OFFICE APPOINTMENTS.
